Airelles is the best hotel brand in the world. There, I said it. We’ve stayed at many world class hotels this summer like Cheval Blanc Paris and Il San Pietro in Positano, but Airelles takes luxury to another level. Airelles La Bastide Gordes in Provence may be our favorite hotel, and Airelles Le Grand Contrôle in Versailles is without hesitation the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at.
As a senior executive in the resort industry for over 11 years, the art of creating unforgettable memories on vacation is important to me both professionally and personally. Airelles exceeded all expectations.
Impeccable customer service, luxurious aesthetics, and amazing locations are just the beginning. The attention to detail in guest comfort at every turn was operating at a different level. When you enter an Airelles room you’ll find an assortment of pastries, matching pajamas, a tote bag, and hats. More gifts come throughout the stay - toiletry bags, candles, monogrammed notebooks, luggage tags, notepads, and more!
When I mentioned my excitement to try an Alan Ducasse Baba Au Rhum during our stay in Versailles, one showed up in our room. There is a 10 item complimentary daily laundry service and the most ridiculously well-stocked and completely complimentary mini-bar including wine and pre-made cocktails. My wife loved the inclusion of additional toiletries like Micellar water, a loofah and a hairbrush to name a few.
By the pool in Gordes, we ordered diet cokes, and they were served in a crystal decanter. After the best massage of our lives we took a sunset drive in the backseat of a Citroen 2cv to a private picnic in the hills with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot.
In Versailles we felt like royalty. You’ll enjoy special access in Versailles exclusive to guests and it’s amazing. I mean look at me alone in the hall of mirrors. Our favorite moment had to be when our butler Hugo got us front row seats for the Bastille Day fireworks show in Versailles with complimentary champagne while sitting next to a rock legend and a movie star. It was a vacation memory we will never forget.
